Cnet.com is a technology based online review site. They review many types of technology, anything from software products to cameras to cellphones to computers. Cnet.com uses industry professionals to do both written and video reviews on all of the products. It also allows you to view reviews written by other cnet.com users who have experience with that particular product. Cnet.com also rates items so you can tell which item they felt was the best according to its class, price, and feature set.
Because web/graphic design rely so heavily on technology, a site like this is crucial. As designers we need to research the technology we use, so we can purchase the best and most functional items. Personally I’ve used this site to research a ton of different purchases, including, two cameras (one point and shoot, one dslr), a video camera, external hard drive, computer, and a cell phone. Every time I’ve used cnet.com to review a piece of technology it hasn’t failed me and I’ve been happy with my purchase. So before you buy another pricy piece of technology check out cnet.com.
